Brown paper covered boards show some shelf wear, small bump to front board bottom edge, light bumping of corners. ; Laid in is a full page of the Victoria Times Colonist newspaper article about BC Electric from 1948. A tight solid book, hinges intact. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 170 pages; A history of the B.C. Electric Company, which actually started as the BC Electric Railway Company in the late 19th Century, before being purchased by the provincial govermnent and becoming the BC Hydro and Power Authority in the 1960's. In its early history, it established the interurban railway lines to the outlying communities of the Fraser Valley, plus the early trolley systems in Victoria, Vancouver and New Westminster. A fascinating history, complete with several pages of early black and white photographs, including the early generating stations at Ruskin, Stave Falls, Buntzen Lake and Jordan River (Vancouver Island).
