It is significant in the fact that within a few months of its publication, the university would become the new residence of Professor Albert Einstein, newly emmigrated from Germany to escape the Nazi persecution of Jews. Einstein would become a member of Princeton's Institute for Advanced Study, and during later times would write to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, encouraging him to fund research and development of the atomic bomb.
